Nylon Airtight Zipper: Introduction & Applications
Nylon airtight zippers are high-end specialty sealing zippers. The main body is based on an integrally woven zipper, fully laminated and coated with a TPU sealing layer. When closed, the zipper teeth tightly interlock, pressing the sealing strips firmly together to form a hermetic seal. They achieve an IPX8 waterproof rating, offering far superior waterproof performance compared to standard waterproof zippers. These zippers feature excellent flexibility, smooth operation, and long durability, and supports hot-press welding. Enhanced with our self-developed modified TPU elastomer material, they retain their functionality even in extreme cold conditions down to -40°C, and can be securely heat-welding directly to TPU and PVC fabrics. Widely used in apparel and bags, medical, chemical, firefighting and life-saving industries. Common applications include dry diving suits, negative pressure medical oxygen chamber bags, vacuum storage bags, outdoor cold-weather apparel, various outdoor bags, cold chain airtight bags, constant temperature tents, and more.

IPX5-rated Watertight Zipper: Introduction & Applications
IPX5-rated watertight zippers are practical waterproof sealing zippers. They are constructed from integrally woven one-piece zippers, with a full-surface lamination and coating of TPU sealing layer. When closed, the zipper teeth tightly interlock with each other, compressing the waterproof sealing strips on both sides to form a water-repellent barrier. With an IPX5 waterproof rating, they can withstand low-pressure water jets from any direction, delivering waterproof performance far superior to ordinary waterproof zippers. These zippers feature excellent flexibility, smooth operation, and long-lasting durability, and supports hot-press welding. Enhanced with our self-developed modified TPU elastomer material, they exhibit superior resistance to both high and low temperatures, and can be heat-bonded seamlessly to TPU and PVC fabrics. Widely applied in outdoor gear, bags and luggage, fishing gears, and general protective products. Common applications include outdoor hardshell jackets, motorcycle suits, premium waterproof backpacks, bicycle bags, fishing bags, raincoats, simple waterproof sleeping bag, standard outdoor tents, and more.

How to Choose Nylon Airtight Zippers
Nylon airtight zippers are core sealing components for outdoor gear, waterproof bags and wetsuits. Below are 6 key points to pick reliable products: 1. Waterproof Rating Prioritize IPX7 or higher. A verifiable SGS test report with report number is required; logos shown on the page alone are not valid. 2. Workmanship & Appearance - TPU film: Smooth surface, free of bubbles and particles, no color difference - Zipper teeth: Straight and symmetrical closure after zipping - Fabric tape: Clean cut without burrs. TPU film bonds tightly to tape, no curling or delamination 3. Zipper Size Common sizes: 3#, 5#, 8#. Larger size means thicker teeth and higher load capacity. 3# / 5# for lightweight garments; 8# and above for waterproof cases and diving suits. 4. Smoothness Airtight zippers naturally have higher resistance than standard zippers, but premium ones keep resistance within a proper range. Test by pulling back and forth. It should run smoothly with no skipped teeth or jamming. 5. Temperature Resistance Standard requirement: -20℃ ~ 70℃. The adhesive film won’t crack or turn sticky. For extreme cold or high-temperature use, confirm it can withstand -40℃ without brittleness, and resist delamination & deformation under continuous heat. 6. Certifications & Test Reports Mandatory for exports to Europe, America, Japan and South Korea: REACH, PFAS-free certification. Bonus certifications: ISO9001, OEKO-TEX Standard 100. Always check traceable test reports instead of verbal promises. Quick Summary: IPX7 rating + smooth zipping + valid SGS report + properly matched size. Combine sample handfeel and supplier capability to get durable Nylon Airtight Zippers.

How to choose Airtight Zippers for Vacuum Bags
Nylon airtight zippers are critical for negative pressure sealing of vacuum storage bags, differing from diving & outdoor waterproof zippers. Here are 6 selection tips: 1. Air Tightness & Pressure Retention Waterproofing is not required. Focus on long-term air retention after vacuuming. Test: Closed zipper under negative pressure, no obvious rebound or bulging after 24h standing. 2. Workmanship & Appearance - TPU film: Smooth, no bubbles or particles, uniform distribution - Zipper teeth: Straight, symmetrical meshing when closed - Tape: Burr-free clean cut; film tightly bonded, no warping or delamination 3. Sizes #3, #5, #8 available. Larger size means thicker teeth and stronger pressure resistance. Recommend #5+, #8 preferred; #3 is not advised. 4. Smooth Pulling Performance Airtight zippers have higher pulling resistance. Good zippers slide smoothly with no skipped teeth or jamming. Fully locked zipper won’t be pried open by vacuum negative pressure. 5. Lamination & Bonding Process Film base material decides lamination stability. High-grade TPU/PVC film has uniform texture and stable heat resistance, achieving high-frequency thermal fusion with nylon tape. 6. Certifications & Reports Export: REACH, PFAS-free. Bonus: ISO9001, OEKO‑TEX Standard 100. Use traceable test reports, not verbal commitments. Quick Summary: Prioritize pressure retention, smooth pull and stable lamination. Match the right size and traceable reports to achieve long service life and reliable leak-proof performance.
